Ford/Visteon
"In 1985, Kim Smith worked with yours truly in the plant engineering department at Ford/Visteon, instructing me on the basics of AutoCad. While Kim was doing this, she almost single-handedly drew all the equipment and material systems that occupied the 1.7 million-square-foot building. Kim's accuracy and timing on completing the project impressed management personnel in the engineering department. Compressor and radiator departments were adding new production lines at that time, so we hired Kim to lay out all the equipment, develop the installation drawings and resolve all problems related to layout if they came about. Kim again impressed all personnel involved, so the newly created Compressor Task Force hired her to go to Dearborn, Mich., to continue laying out additional compressor programs that were going in the Connersville and Mexico plants.
I would highly recommend Kim Smith for any engineering projects you may have that include new processes, existing installations or rearrangements, updating existing facilities and more."
